Pierce Residence – El Cajon, CA
The removal of a chain link fence and large shrubs that cut the useable part of the property in half opened up sunset views to the west and remarkably expanded the feel of the garden. Silver green smooth and light sand finish stucco and rich cordovan brown trim on the house are complimented by carefully selected new materials including ‘Apache Cloud’ stacked stone walls, water feature, and fire element. green Cloud slate and neutral colored concrete wall veneer, pavers and terraces, ‘California Gold’ decomposed granite and touches of copper and bronze metals add a defining and finished touch to the ambiance. A sophisticated mix of Mediterranean shrubs, grasses and succulents in rose red, gray, blue, and golden yellows give the new garden a clean, unified, and modern appearance.
